Background Mature mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor-10 (FGF10) shares 94% and 100% amino acid sequence identity with human and rat FGF10, respectively. The mitogenic and chemotactic properties of FGF10 are critical in many tissues during embryogenesis. FGF10 induces signaling through FGF R2 (IIIb) also contributes to the progression of pancreatic cancer[1]. FGF10 is a paracrine signaling molecule and is involved in the branching of morphogenesis in multiple organs such as the lungs, skin, ear and salivary glands[2]. |
