| 產品參數 | 【產品介紹】Cystatin B is a member of the cysteine
protease inhibitor superfamily, functioning as an intracellular protease inhibitor (1). It plays a role in inhibiting cysteine proteinases and protecting proteinases from lysosomal leakage (1, 2). The second hairpin loop and the C-terminal end of Cystatin B anchor the inhibitor to target proteinases (3). A deficiency in cystatin B is observed in progressive myoclonic epilepsy type 1 (1). This deficiency predisposes neurons to oxidative stress that leads to neuronal death and degeneration (1). In addition, Cystatin B has been linked to amyloid fibril formation in vitro and is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (4, 5).
