the basal lamina to the intermediate filament cytoskeleton. An important functional component of hemidesmosomes is the integrin beta-4 subunit (ITGB4), a protein containing two fibronectin type III domains. eIF-6 binds to the fibronectin type III domains of ITGB4 and may help link ITGB4 to the intermediate filament cytoskeleton. It is insoluble and found in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, can function as a translation initiation factor and prevent the association of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits (1). Recommended Applications WB, IHC, FC Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 IHC: 1:100 - 250 FC: 1:100 - 500 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse, Rat *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) HeLa, (B) RAW 264.7, (C) K562, (D) 293T, and (E) HepG2 cell lysates using anti-eIF-6 RabMAb (cat. #5361-1). Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human colonic adenocarcinoma using anti-eIF-6 RabMAb (cat. #5361-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human eIF-6 was used as an immunogen. |
