as Leucine-rich repeat containing G-protein coupled receptor 5, Lgr5) is closely related to members of the glycoprotein hormone receptor subfamily. It is expressed in skeletal muscle, placenta, spinal cord, and various regions of the brain (1). GPR49 is reported to possibly mark stem cells in multiple adult tissues and is over expressed in cancers (2).
